Large antique engraved print of Edwin Landseer's 1851 painting "Monarch of the Glen." This print was commissioned c. 1890 by the Hartford Fire Insurance Company and likely hung in one of their offices as an advertising display. The frame appears to be original and complements the engraving beautifully. To avoid damaging this piece, we have not taken the print out of the frame; however, the visibly raised ink, age and appearance of the paper, and age of the frame indicate that this is one of the original 19th century engravings, not a reprint.
Light wear commensurate with age includes some missing beading on the frame and some spots and wear on lithograph. Please see all pictures for condition. Please message with any questions you may have.
